Legible

Legible is set in B612, the typeface Airbus commissioned for cockpit screens. Intactile DESIGN drew it in 2012. Its name comes from the Little Prince's asteroid, in honor of the aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

Made to be read at a glance

B612 follows three rules:

  1. Keep every letter true to its basic shape.

  2. Make each letter look as unlike the others as possible.

  3. Give shapes and spaces an even rhythm.

What is essential is invisible to the eye.

— Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
